Just a brief little update for you.
Last weekend Josh ran in a 1/2 marathon like the CHAMP that he is. He finished in 1 hour 41 minutes and 36 seconds (I do believe). And I think his split time was 7 minutes and 46 seconds per mile. While the idea of running 13 miles consecutively makes me want to cry and eat a 27 cookies, watching the event was a blast. Amanda, Christine and I traveled around to different mile markers to cheer and wave on our running companions (Becca dropped it like it was hot and did the halfsie.) It was also the most perfect fall day: sunny, crisp and just overall delightful.
Later that evening Josh and I hosted “Oktoberfest” at our place. Basically that meant bring your favorite fall food/drink and play games. But people really got into the theme! Molly even made sausage and sauerkraut. Dan’s pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting was to die for. We played Mafia, Apple to Apples, Mad Gab and enjoy one another’s company. Thanks to all who came!
Ok, get ready to freak out. THE BOSTON UNIVERSITY HOCKEY TEAM WILL BE PLAYING THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA HOCKEY TEAM in GRAND FORKS, NORTH DAKOTA. Yeah. SO GREAT. What team will I be cheering for?
It rhymes with Shmerriers (yes, the BU Terriers). And to all you judgy mcjudgies out there who hate my lack of school pride: sue me.
Oh and it snowed here today. It’s October. Countdown to whenever the military moves us again beginsssss now.
One more thing. We got a sweet sectional. It’s basically all of Josh’s wildest dreams come true. And I like it as well.
xoxo 🙂
I love hockey. I am so upset NHL is on a lockout. And I’m not judging you for your lack of school pride, I’ll root for Ohio State any day over any college I have attended 🙂 (well also, I went to a d3 school.. but that’s ok)
1) That sectional looked fantastic.
2) We made the sausage and sauerkraut again this week. We were planning on bringing it to another party tonight but it was canceled. Hello, dinner!
3) Let me know if you are up for a sewing or other craft project!
we ARE 1soul2bodies. my own boo just ran a half-marathon of his own on saturday. and then we ate sausage and pretzels at oktoberfest in leavenworth, wa (a little town east of seattle that pretends it’s a small german village–even the gas station and bank signs are in fake, bavarian-esque font).
our intertwined destinies are like, whoa.
I’ve spent long weekends in Leavenworth! I love that town, so quaint. I have very fond memories there…and I can imagine you pretzeling it up witya boo!
Tell Chris way to go on running the halfsie!
