Seaside, Oregon 2005. You with your baby face and me with my troll hair that refuses to stay out of pictures. Little did we know that 6 months after this picture was taken, you would move to New York and we wouldn’t see each other for a year…
United Nations Pilgrimage 2006. I won a trip to come see you in NYC, but the rules were so strict it was hard to meet up. You were a sport. I was a crazy girl. Still, you loved me through it all.
2007 . Your Senior Dinner Dance and Graduation. Bombs, fireflies and goon walks. Tumultuous and uncertain times…but we didn’t give up.
My graduation party 2008. this picture says “BFFs.”
Fast Forward a year and a half. I moved across the country to NY while you were in Boston. This year brought serious uncertainty, doubt and heartache ( we were still living three hours apart). I ended up moving to Boston to see what the Lord wanted of us. And apparently He wanted my hair to still stick to my forehead no matter what (keeping me humble…). Oh, and for us to be together and go to Red Sox games.
Military Ball 2010. Our time together in Boston brought clarity and we knew it was only a matter of time…
until we’d tie the knot.
July 16, 2011. You and I overcame it all, through Jesus, with Jesus, for Jesus. He blessed us, and united us in the glorious one-flesh union of Holy Matrimony.
and we became mr and mrs.
Then we had a ballin party. Even 6 year old Rochelle is getting her pump on.
and we moved to North Dakota, with very few belongings.
and even though I’m not much a fan of this place, I wouldn’t change it for anything. I’ve followed you across the country, and I’ll follow you to the ends of the earth, my darling. Come what may.
